Wonder what Vermonters want their power sources to look like in the future? The Department of Public Service has just finished a massive study to find out what Vermonters think. They used several techniques to go about gathering the feedback, ranging from an on-line effort to a series of regional public workshops to a deliberative process where people were chosen randomly to spend a weekend learning about the intricacies of power supply. Their opinions were measured both before and after the learning process. In all, more than 950 Vermonters provided their opinions about our energy future - the largest sample ever conducted through various means.
